Everything You Need To Know About The Mission
The Polaris Dawn mission is part of a trio of planned flights, with this one marking the inaugural journey. The spacecraft will orbit Earth at an altitude of approximately 1,000 kilometers (620 miles), surpassing the heights reached by previous crewed missions. On the third day, the crew will conduct the first private spacewalk, and to mitigate radiation exposure, the spacecraft will lower its altitude to about 400 kilometers during the spacewalk.
