Chandrayaan-3 mission confirms the presence of Sulphur (S) and Other precious elements in the lunar surface near the South Pole

What a crazy time we are all living in. This has to be one of the proudest moments for us Indians. Chandrayaan-3 just informed that Moon have deposits of Sulphur and other precious elements beneath it’s surface. ISRO posted the information regarding this important discovery on X.

The Update

They mentioned that- In-situ scientific experiments continues and Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscope (LIBS) instrument onboard the Rover unambiguously confirms the presence of Sulphur (S) in the lunar surface near the south pole, through first-ever in-situ measurements.

Apart from that Al, Ca, Fe, Cr, Ti, Mn, Si, and O are also detected, as expected. Search for Hydrogen (H) is underway.
