Adani Group is set to build the inaugural integrated data center and technology business park in Visakhapatnam, India

The Adani Group has plans to create a technology hub in Visakhapatnam that includes an integrated data center and business park, with the goal of boosting the local technology ecosystem in the region.

This project is part of the group’s investments in Andhra Pradesh, which have already created thousands of jobs across various sectors such as ports, logistics, and renewable energy.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the project was held on May 3 and was attended by key figures including Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and Adani Group Managing Director Rajesh Adani.

The project will include a data center, technology and business park, as well as a skill development center, and will generate job opportunities for local communities. AdaniConneX, a joint venture between Adani Group and EdgeConneX, will be responsible for a 300 MW data center facility within the park.

The Adani Group believes that this project will open new growth opportunities for the region, and connect Vizag to the APAC IT ecosystem.

What Gautam Adani said?

Gautam Adani, the Chairman of Adani Group, stated that our world is defined by our capacity to generate, store, access, and transfer data. As technology continues to advance with AI, high-quality content, and extensive digitization, there is an exponential increase in the demand for computing and storage.

He further added that Andhra Pradesh has a strategic advantage with its vast land for renewable energy and long coastline, making it an ideal location to establish data center parks not only for India but also for countries facing land or energy scarcity. The Adani Group’s expertise in ports, data centers, and green energy capabilities makes it a unique and powerful combination for the data center world.

According to Gautam Adani, the Adani Group’s establishment of 300 MW data centers will facilitate the laying of a submarine cable from Singapore, which will revolutionize broadband services’ future dynamics.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy believes that the technology park will transform Vizag into a tier-1 city that will rely on renewable energy sources to power its growth.
